CARY, N.C. (Jan. 15) -- When Clay Aiken makes his Broadway debut in "Monty Python's Spamalot," he will be wearing a new smile created by Dr. Bobbi Stanley, a nationally acclaimed cosmetic dentist practicing in Cary, a suburb of Clay's hometown of Raleigh, N.C. Clay will join the cast of the award-winning play in the role of Sir Robin on Jan. 18 and continue through May 4.
Some also-rans have done well. Clay Aiken overshadowed winner Ruben Studdard, and Jennifer Hudson won a Golden Globe and an Oscar for her singing role in the movie "Dreamgirls."

Anew and Afresh - pandemonium for Clay Aiken in New York City -
I can't have a ramble without rambling on about my pretend boyfriend Clay Aiken. Or maybe that should be -- my pretend boyfriend and Broadway star Clay Aiken. ;-D Last night was his debut in Monty Python's Spamalot, and from all reports, he was a huge hit. He plays four different characters and had transformed that Southern accent of his into a very good British one... actually more than one, as he varied the accents according to the character. He sang, he danced, he acted, and the audience brought down the house when Clay took his bow. Jonathan Hadary, who plays King Arthur and is the last to take his bow after Clay, even acknowledged Clay again as the audience was still cheering for him.
The press rushed the stage at the end and photographers were about five rows deep in both aisles to capture the curtain call --
This weekend Clay Aiken is the toast of the town in New York City. With his stunning debut Friday in Broadway's award-winning "Spamalot," the singer was everything his director had predicted in promos leading up to the extraordinary night.
