OMWH Digest: Wal-Mart Bonus Track Revealed, iTunes Pre-Order Tomorrow

Wal-Mart has released the title of the bonus track to be on their editions of "On My Way Here". According to WalMart.com, the bonus track is "Forget I Ever Knew You". You'll also notice that Wal-Mart has a special cover art, different from the regular CD (see right).

Apple's iTunes music store will begin accepting pre-orders tomorrow for OMWH. If you order the album during this pre-order period, iTunes will give you a bonus track. We do not know what that bonus track is going to be, but apparently, it will be different from Wal-Mart's.

OMWH was mentioned on yesterday's VH1 Top 20 Countdown, says the CB's ClayandKimfan. The SendSpace download for the video cap is here.

I m watching VH1 Top 20 Countdown and just before they played One Republics Stop and Stare video the how mention how the lead sings been writining for different singers. And she mentioned he'll be working with Kelly Clarkson. Then she said theres another AI aritist hes wrote for. And she said Clays name and his CD cover poped up. She mentioned its out May 6 and that the title track was written by the One Rupublic lead singer. I keep forgetting his name. So exciting the promontion going on for this CD compared to ATDW. Way to go Clay!!!

Tidbits 4/14

Broadway World now has its own exclusive "Webisode" RCA is releasing for Clay's new album.

BroadwayWorld brings you this special exclusive webisode featuring American Idol and Broadway Star - Clay Aiken as he talks about Spamalot and recording his latest CD.

Multi-platinum selling pop singer Clay Aiken will release his fourth album, On My Way Here, on RCA Records/19 Entertainment on May 6th, 2008. The collection is the 29-year-old Raleigh, NC, native’s first album of original songs since his 2003 chart-topping, double-platinum debut Measure of a Man.
  • Computer World - article about Apple's Time Capsule backup machine mentions Clay! Wow!
But being able to add a Time Capsule to an existing network like my mom's means she may luck out when her birthday rolls around in May. Right now, she has to plug in a USB drive to back up all the Clay Aiken songs, videos and pictures she's accumulated on her laptop.
  • What Goes On - Chris Daughtry article - "After his elimination from American Idol in 2006, Daughtry's self-titled debut album sold more than 1 million copies in just 5 weeks. Daughtry is the fourth most successful American Idol contestant in history, behind Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Clay Aiken."
  • Pilot Tribune - students experience fine arts in NYC - "The group had three celebrity sightings while in the city. Many of them caught quick glimpses of Donald Trump and Clay Aiken, and Marie Osmond was spotted at one of the Broadway plays"
  • antiMusic - Clay's new CD coming out on MusicPass format -
Clay Aiken's new album, On My Way Here will be released on May 6, 2008 on CD and through digital music stores. In June, the album will be released in a new music format called Musicpass.

You may have already seen these cards at local retailers. They look like gift cards - but instead of giving you credit in a store, they give you access to purchase a digital version of an album, along with some bonus music or video.

Tidbits 12/4

  • AOL Sports: Fanhouse - Carrie Underwood at L.A. Kings hockey game - not exactly sure why they think Clay "butchered" his song, "I Will Carry You" on ice.
Oh, we believe it. If the Hurricanes can have Clay Aiken butcher songs on the ice, Ms. Underwood surely can attempt to woo Robert Nilsson away from the sea donkeys back home.

    "I will carrrrry youuuuu."
  • Citizens Voice - Christmas tour ... "Clay Aiken’s Christmas in the Heartland will be presented tonight at 7 at the F.M. Kirby Center, Public Square, Wilkes-Barre. Tickets start at $40. For information, call 826-1100. "
  • Staunton News Leader - cleaning up my iPod -
It's an incredible amount of very bad music, not only because there's a lot of bad music being written and recorded today but because most of it was free — the reason that I downloaded it in the first place. Something for nothing, or nothing for nothing. In all the gratis stuff cluttering up my music player, there's only one sing worth keeping, and it isn't "Clay Aiken Sings the Ice-T Songbook."

Clay Blogs: Looks Like He Got His iPhone!

By the looks of his VERY brief and cryptic blog tonight, our adorably cute and geeky Clay isn't leaving himself out of the Apple iPhone fever that hit its climax earlier tonight when the hot $600 music and video playing phones went on sale at Apple and AT & T stores nationwide.

Clay wasn't the only celebrity spotted hunting down an iPhone today, however. Philadelphia's mayor was spotted lining up outside Philadelphia's Apple store earlier today.

Have fun with your iPhone, Clay!

Update 6/30: Clay blogged again on Friday night... this time from his iPhone! Cool!
