Scrapping 4 Inclusion Announces New Program: "Let's ALL Scrapbook"

Scrapping 4 Inclusion, in partnership with the Bubel Aiken Foundation, announced their new program "Let's ALL Scrapbook". More information about the program and how you can get involved was made available in a press release:

Scrapping 4 Inclusion Announces the Let’s ALL Scrapbook Program in Conjunction with The Bubel/Aiken Foundation

NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 03/31/2008 - The Foundation was co-founded by Clay Aiken & Diane Bubel in 2003 to serve children with special needs and the goal of inclusion for ALL.

Scrapping 4 Inclusion is proud to announce its new Let’s ALL Scrapbook program. Let’s ALL Scrapbook is an inclusive arts & crafts program where children with and without disabilities get together and create a small scrapbooking project or other paper craft project.

The intention of Let’s ALL Scrapbook is to provide suggestions and instructions so that anyone can organize and offer this program to children in their community. Let’s ALL Scrapbook will take a simple idea and make it easy to follow with a goal that people just like you will take the initiative and go out to their community and get children with and without disabilities participating together in this activity.

Let’s ALL Scrapbook is a program that has been run in partnership with The Bubel/Aiken Foundation’s Let’s ALL Play program. It is intended to be an independently-funded and operated activity to promote inclusion. Therefore no application or approval is required to facilitate this program. However, it certainly can be offered as an additional activity for those who are offering the Let’s ALL Play program funded through the Foundation.

Kids’ crafts help to foster creativity and imagination. They give children a sense of accomplishment. By encouraging a child’s creative side, you will not only help to develop their imagination, but also improve the way they feel about themselves. Let’s ALL Scrapbook is intended to be a stepping-stone program to introduce inclusion to children and to members of our communities. It is designed to be run by anyone at any skill level. You do not have to be a teacher or an avid scrapbooker to make this program work. You simply need the desire to help bring inclusion to the children.

The Let’s ALL Scrapbook instruction manual is available for download on the Scrapping 4 Inclusion website. This manual has complete step-by-step instructions for operating a Let’s ALL Scrapbook program.

We encourage everyone to download their copy of the manual today and get involved. Get out in your community and scrapbook with the Kids.

About Scrapping 4 Inclusion
Scrapping 4 Inclusion (scrapping4inclusion.com) is an awareness and fundraising campaign where Volunteers across the USA will organize a Scrapbooking Crop in their community. A Scrapping 4 Inclusion Crop can be customized by each Organizer to fit with what they are personally able to manage and what the market in their community will bare. If you are interested in getting involved, we are always looking for additional volunteers to plan events in their own community. You do not need to be a scrapbooker to get involved; you only need the desire to help. The more volunteers involved the more voices there are to raise awareness.

For more information on Scrapping 4 Inclusion please visit their website.

Scrapping 4 Inclusion Launches 2008 Calendar

Bubel Aiken Foundation authorized fundraiser Scrapping 4 Inclusion is launching a beautifully, professionally crafted wall calendar to raise money for the TBAF.

The calendar may be purchased at Scrapping 4 Inclusion's secure store at CafePress.com for $22.00.

Here is the text of the press release from Scrapping 4 Inclusion:
Scrapping 4 Inclusion is proud to release a 2008 Calendar to benefit The Bubel/Aiken Foundation (TBAF). The Foundation was co-founded by Clay Aiken & Diane Bubel in 2003 to serve children with special needs and the goal of inclusion for ALL.

Digital Designer Erin Hooper and published poet Sally Meyer teamed up with Scrapping 4 Inclusion to create a beautiful, inspirational calendar to help spread the word about the importance of inclusion for ALL children and the mission of TBAF. This work of art has something to offer everyone, from scrapbook layout ideas to beautiful poetry and inspirational writings to some great photos of children simply living life to the fullest, together with no boundaries. Photos featured in the calendar include children with and without disabilities playing together at Let’s ALL Play Camps, participating in the Let’s ALL Scrapbook program as well as photos showcasing volunteers and TBAF staff working with the children. Also included are photos of one of the Scrapping 4 Inclusion fundraising events.

Erin Hooper, graciously donated her time and creativity to this project. Erin is a photographer and digital scrapbooker / artist from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

Products used for the calendar were graciously donated by Scrap Girls. Scrap Girls is making it simple and fun to become a great digital scrapbooker. They are a web-based company offering Digital Scrapbooking Supplies, Educational Movie Tutorials and eBooks, and Commercially Licensed Graphic Design Products. Scrap Girls also puts out an email newsletter six days a week full of inspiration, tutorials and digital scrapbooking freebies and they offer a free beginner’s eBook for anyone needing help understanding where to start with digital scrapbooking. Visit their website for more information.

Writing contributions for the calendar were provided by Sally Meyer. Growing up in England, Sally learned to enjoy the simpler, slower side of life. At the age of 23, she immigrated to Utah, where she married and raised eight children and two husbands. When her eighth child was diagnosed with autism, she turned to her favorite means of problem solving and soul searching—her pen and paper/keyboard. She wrote poems about living with a son who has a disability. Then going a step further she created a year-long journal of his life, which she one day hopes to publish. Sally's poetry has been published in magazines, books and many websites. She recently branched out into the world of screenwriting and has completed four full length feature scripts and a television series.

Scrapping 4 Inclusion volunteers also provided their heartfelt words describing their experiences during the Let’s ALL Scrapbook program for publication in this calendar.

The calendars can be purchased from the Scrapping 4 Inclusion Café Press store at cafepress.com/s4i. You can also find links to purchase the calendars from the Scrapping 4 Inclusion website and The Bubel/Aiken Foundation website. A 2008 Calendar will make a fantastic holiday gift. Products can be purchased directly from Café Press and shipped anywhere internationally and you can even include a ‘gift message’ with your order. Help make inclusion a reality by purchasing your copy of the 2008 Scrapping 4 Inclusion calendar.

Bubel Aiken Fundraisers - Part 3 - Scrapping 4 Inclusion To Hold Fundraisers in Queens NY and Greensboro NC

We've had two articles so far to remind you of some of the many fundraisers that are going on in ClayNation for The Bubel Aiken Foundation. If you missed reading those articles, you can find them at:

The Bubel Aiken Fundraisers - 3 A Day To Remember - Part 1
The Bubel Aiken Fundraisers - 3 A Day To Remember - Part 2

Today we will only tell you about one of BAF's fundraisers - Scrapping 4 Inclusion. Scrapping 4 Inclusion's website says it best as to what it is all about:

The mission of Scrapping 4 Inclusion is to combine one of the fastest growing hobbies in North America with the need for creating awareness and raising funds on behalf of children with disabilities and their advocates at The Bubel Aiken Foundation (TBAF). This is an awareness and fundraising campaign where Volunteer Organizers across the USA will plan a full day of Scrapbooking Crop in their own community.
You can go to their site to find out even more about Scrapping 4 Inclusion and how you can get involved.

There are two Scrapping 4 Inclusion Fundraisers that will take place very soon in Queens, NY and Greensboro, NC.

The Queens fundraiser will take place on Saturday, October 20, at the Queens Occupational Training Center. The cost is a $20 donation to take part, and the proceeds will be split between The Bubel Aiken Foundation and The Queens Occupational Training Center, a facility which specializes in Special Education. Volunteers are needed for set up, tear down, and photography. More information can be found at their thread at The Clayboard and in the ad below.

A second Scrapping 4 Inclusion Fundraiser will take place in Greensboro on Saturday, October 27, at Moriah Methodist Church. The $40 crop fee is a donation to The Bubel Aiken Foundation. There will be lunch, dinner, and snacks, as well as door prizes, raffles, and a grand prize of a 2008 Weekend Crop Retreat valued at $130! More information can be found at their thread at The Clayboard and in the ad below.

Both of these fundraisers are great ways to help support The Bubel Aiken Foundation as well as have some fun with other people who love scrapbooking. Check the Scrapbooking 4 Inclusion website for future dates of fundraising events. Dates already at their site, including the above two dates, are:

Waco, Texas - October 20
Denver, Colorado - November 3
Lovettsville (not sure of the state) - November 10
Columbia, South Carolina - January 5, 2008

This is just one of the many ways that fans are making a difference by raising money and awareness for The Bubel Aiken Foundation with fundraisers. In our next article, we'll tell you about three more.

Scrapping 4 Inclusion Announces Partnership with Memory Makers Magazine

The BAF approved fundraiser, Scrapping 4 Inclusion, has already done so much for the BAF this year, that we could see another one of their exciting initiatives a mile away (and buried in a mountain high of footage stories on Google News... hehe).

Scrapping 4 Inclusion announced today about their partnership with a scrapbooking magazine called Memory Makers. By subscribing to the magazine via Scrapping 4 Inclusion, the publishers will donate 30% of the profits to the Bubel Aiken Foundation. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to extend your scrapbooking skills, while at the same time helping raise funds for the Bubel Aiken Foundation.

You can subscribe to the magazine via Scrapping 4 Inclusion at this link.

The full details of this partnership were outlined in a press release issued this morning:

Scrapping 4 Inclusion and Memory Makers Magazine form a partnership to benefit The Bubel/Aiken Foundation. The Foundation was co-founded by Clay Aiken & Diane Bubel in 2003 to serve children with special needs and the goal of inclusion for ALL.

Memory Makers Magazine and Scrapping 4 Inclusion are proud to announce a partnership benefiting The Bubel/Aiken Foundation (TBAF). For all magazine subscriptions sold through the Scrapping 4 Inclusion program Memory Makers will graciously donate 30% to TBAF.

Now those who scrapbook, those who want to learn about scrapbooking and those who don’t know anything about it yet can support the initiative and help the Foundation provide future inclusive programs for children with disabilities. People can subscribe for themselves or as a gift for someone else. All subscription orders through the Scrapping 4 Inclusion program count towards this partnership—including international orders.

Subscription orders can be made through links provided on the Scrapping 4 Inclusion and The Bubel/Aiken Foundation website or at the Scrapping 4 Inclusion fundraising crops. In the future, it is the goal to have this subscription link available on many other websites. If you would like to participate and help this new fundraising partnership grow by placing the link on your website, blog or in your emails.

MEMORY MAKERS features the ideas and stories of top creative crafters ‹ people who believe in keeping scrapbooks and the tradition of the family photo historian alive. Readers share their work and give their tips and secrets to create fresh new layouts every month. Through great scrapping content in each issue and at MemoryMakers.com, readers can collaborate on new ideas for a great community of fun and learning for all levels of scrap booking experience.

“As with all of F+W Publications scrapping resources, Memory Makers supports community-driven events and the building of lifelong memories. The Scrapping 4 Inclusion fundraiser is a great way to support The Bubel/Aiken Foundation and scrapping enthusiasts. Through the S4I scrapbook crops that directly benefit TBAF, Scrapping 4 Inclusion helps The Bubel/Aiken Foundation to sponsor great initiatives in the lives of children of all abilities.” -Melody Chamlee, Producer, F+W Publications.

“I am excited about the possibilities of Scrapping 4 Inclusion. Through doing something that people love, people have the opportunity to find out about the need for inclusion. It gives us the opportunity to build our presence in local communities and inspire people to make a difference in the lives of children with developmental disabilities.” Clay Aiken, Co-Founder of TBAF.

Scrapping 4 Inclusion Launches Online Store - All Proceeds Benefit TBAF

We were contacted by Laurie Weishar of Scrapping 4 Inclusion, a TBAF approved fundraiser, to help spread word about Scrapping 4 Inclusion:

---

I would like to introduce to you Scrapping 4 Inclusion and also to our addition of a Café Press Store. One more way Scrapping 4 Inclusion is helping to raise awareness and funds for TBAF!

The Scrapping 4 Inclusion program and the Café Press Store addition are both BAF approved fundraising initiatives.

Scrapping 4 Inclusion is a program where volunteers across the USA are organizing a Scrapbooking Crop to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation. These crops are a fantastic way for the scrapbookers in each community to get together, have fun, and preserve their photos while raising awareness and funds for the Foundation. If you are a scrapbooker please check out the program. If you know someone who is involved in scrapbooking I encourage you to let them know what we are doing so that they can get involved.

Introducing the Café Press Store:

Logo Products (Scrapping 4 Inclusion & TBAF logos) including T-shirts, mugs, magnets, hoodies and much more.

All proceeds go directly to The Bubel/Aiken Foundation

A banner has been designed that can be placed in message board signatures, on blogs, in email messages etc. to help promote this initiative. We are very appreciative of the fact that the Clay Aiken fans are very supportive of the Foundation so we wanted to ensure that you all knew about Scrapping 4 Inclusion and the Café Press products.

If you have read the recent letter from Jerry Aiken, Executive Direction TBAF then you know that the Foundation has set a goal of 100 camps for 2008. The challenge lies with creating awareness as much as raising funds. If you have the funds but nobody out there knows what the Foundation does or about their programs then there won’t be anyone out there implement the new programs. Creating awareness is critical and you can all help with that.

Supporting the Scrapping 4 Inclusion initiative by helping to spread the word to the scrapbookers out there will help to achieve these goals. If you aren’t a scrapbooker you can still help support the Foundation through purchasing the logo products or by simply sharing the information with your friends, family and associates.

I encourage you to check out the program and logo products and if you able to put the banner in your signature on-line or in your blog that would be greatly appreciated. Pass the information on to all of your friends, fans and non fans. Many of them may support the foundation and there’s a chance that your non-fan friends might be scrapbookers and be interested in the products for that reason. The coding is below for both HTML (for websites) and IMG (for message boards) .

Please HELP us HELP the Foundation to HELP the children that could potentially be attending those 100 camps next year.

If you have any questions about the Scrapping 4 Inclusion program please feel free to email me at info@scrapping4inclusion.com

Scrapping 4 Inclusion Fundraiser for BAF Taking Place Across The Country

Just recently, The Bubel Aiken Foundation has added a page to its website that lists all of its approved fundraisers. One of those fundraisers is called "Scrapping 4 Inclusion", and you can read all the details about this at the BAF "Scrapping For Inclusion" page.

Meanwhile, in Newswire Today, an article from Calgary, Alberta, Canada explains just what Scrapping 4 Inclusion is:

Scrapping 4 Inclusion is an awareness and fundraising campaign where Volunteers across the USA will organize a Scrapbooking Crop in their community. This Nationwide initiative has already begun. Currently 22 US cities have Organizers in place who are actively planning their event. “We are looking for those who are involved in a scrapbooking business, those who love scrapbooking as well as anyone who is interested in simply lending a hand”....A Scrapbooking ‘Crop’ is an event where members of the community will have the opportunity to spend the day working on their photo albums, sharing new ideas and making new friends while preserving their own precious family memories.
The founder of Scrapping For Inclusion, Laurie Weishar, loves scrapbooking and knew it was one of the fastest growing hobbies in North America. She knew it would be a great way to make a difference in children's lives through scrapbooking and volunteers. That's how Scrapping 4 Inclusion began.

If you are interested in finding out more about Scrapping 4 Inclusion, go to The Bubel Aiken Foundation's Scrapping For Inclusion page. You can find plenty to do to help out in this new fundraiser.
