If You Haven't Heard It, Take a Listen to "Its In Everyone of Us"

If you are one of the people who bought On My Way Here on ITunes before May 6, you have no doubt listened to "It's In Everyone of Us" many times. This is the bonus song that was available if you bought the CD on ITunes before OMWH was released.

If you're like me, you didn't buy OMWH from ITunes until after May 6. And if you are like me, you had never heard "It's In Everyone of Us" until TODAY!! What a beautiful song. The music and words are simple, yet powerful. And of course, Clay's voice makes it even more beautiful.

Its too late to get the song at ITunes, but you can head to YouTube and watch two different videos that feature "It's In Everyone of Us". Or you can scroll down, and watch them right here on Clay's Daily Double! After watching them, scroll down some more and we've included the words to it for you as well. Enjoy!

It's In Everyone of Us - YouTube Video by lampmstar

It's in everyone of us
To be wise
Find your heart
Open up both your eyes,
We can all know everything
Without ever knowing why,
It's in everyone of us
By and by...

It's in everyone of us
To be wise,
Find your heart
Open up both your eyes,
We can all know everything
Without ever knowing why,
It's in everyone of us
By and by...

It's in everyone of us
I just remembered
It's like I been sleeping for years,
I'm not awake as I can be
But my seeing is better,
I can see...
Through the tears,
I've been realizing that,
I bought this ticket
And watching only half of the show,
There is scenery and lights
And a cast of thousands,
Who all know
What I know,
And it's good
That it's so...

It's in everyone of us
To be wise
Find your heart
Open up both your eyes,
We can all know everything
Without ever knowing why,
It's in everyone of us
By and by,
It's in everyone of us
By and by...

Tidbits 4/22

Clay and Tyra Banks are featured in today's People Magazine StarTracks. Tyra recently visited Clay on the set of Spamalot to tape a special segment for her Tyra Banks Show. An air date has not been set yet. The same photo is also featured at JustJared.com.

  • antiMusic - Clay makes the rounds on late night shows to promote new album -
f you're a bit underwhelmed by the current crop of American Idols, an old favorite is returning to your television screen and you won't have to put up with Paula to watch. Which favorite is it? It's the guy who's fans sent over dozens emails to let us know that their hero was going to be back on TV. That's right, it's Clay Aiken and he's going on a late night TV blitz to promote his new album.

Claymates will make a run on record retailers on May 6th, when Aiken's new album, 'On My Way Here,' is released and the following week he'll make two late night appearances to promote it.

First up, he'll head over to Burbank to appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on May 12th and then he'll make an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show on May 15th. We received conflicting information from the fans that wrote in about the Kimmel appearance. Some said Clay was performing and others said he wasn't. So we fired off an email to the show's publicist and she confirmed that "Clay Aiken is booked for an interview" only. The musical guest on that night will be Dierks Bentley.
  • American Idol mentions:
    • All Headline News -
While judge Simon Cowell often chastises contestants for sounding "too Broadway," all six will have to pull out the big numbers for the Broadway themed show. Despite Cowell's remarks, many former "American Idol" contestants have gone on to have successful runs on Broadway, including Fantasia and Clay Aiken.
    • Deseret News on Carmen Rasmusen's thorn with American Idol -
Rasmusen's April 18 column gave us a behind-the-scenes look at how "Idol" works. She wrote of one experience waiting to consult the show's vocal coach while Clay Aiken was being coached.

"I could hear him going over and over his song, dissecting it. Finally, after about 30 minutes, the door opened. It was my turn. I walked in and sang my song about three times before being dismissed. Hardly the personal one-on-one attention Aiken had just received."
    • Courier Post Online -
But who cares about costing an innocent bystanders hundreds of dollars? In the 2003 "American Idol" finale, 130,000 votes separated winner Ruben Studdard from the runner-up, Clay Aiken. A few days later, a phone company in the Midwest said it had received 240,000 misdialed calls during voting.
    • Philadelphia Inquirer -
It's unlikely that the producers who saw the very pretty Kelly Clarkson triumph over the even prettier Justin Guarini that first summer ever envisioned anything like the tuneful but less-photogenic showdown between Season 2 finalists Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken, much less the Season 5 victory of Taylor Hicks, a twitchy, gray-haired Alabamian whose personality charmed millions but who's been eating the dust of fourth-place contestant Chris Daughtry ever since.
    • The Campus Press - Idols ... where they are now: "Clay Aiken, the runner up on season two of American Idol has been singing and dancing his way on Broadway in Monty Python's Spamalot, which tells the story of King Arthur and his knights of the round table."
  • antiMusic - random mention:
You see the Ozzy track was playing on my iTunes when I clicked over to Pendulum's Myspace and one of their songs started autoplaying. It was a strange mix, but actually worked. Maybe we'll start a new online crazy with Myspace/iTunes antimash-ups? We're gonna go try Iron Maiden and Clay Aiken right now.

OMWH Digest: Wal-Mart Bonus Track Revealed, iTunes Pre-Order Tomorrow

Wal-Mart has released the title of the bonus track to be on their editions of "On My Way Here". According to WalMart.com, the bonus track is "Forget I Ever Knew You". You'll also notice that Wal-Mart has a special cover art, different from the regular CD (see right).

Apple's iTunes music store will begin accepting pre-orders tomorrow for OMWH. If you order the album during this pre-order period, iTunes will give you a bonus track. We do not know what that bonus track is going to be, but apparently, it will be different from Wal-Mart's.

OMWH was mentioned on yesterday's VH1 Top 20 Countdown, says the CB's ClayandKimfan. The SendSpace download for the video cap is here.

I m watching VH1 Top 20 Countdown and just before they played One Republics Stop and Stare video the how mention how the lead sings been writining for different singers. And she mentioned he'll be working with Kelly Clarkson. Then she said theres another AI aritist hes wrote for. And she said Clays name and his CD cover poped up. She mentioned its out May 6 and that the title track was written by the One Rupublic lead singer. I keep forgetting his name. So exciting the promontion going on for this CD compared to ATDW. Way to go Clay!!!

Wal-Mart to Include Bonus Track on OMWH

Seems to us that everyone is vying to get a bonus track onto their versions of "On My Way Here". iTunes will carry a bonus track to those who pre-order the disk before the May 6 release date, and today, WalMart.com is listing its version of "On My Way Here" with an exclusive bonus track.

No word yet on whether the iTunes and Wal-Mart bonus tracks are the same.

Get "5th Grader" on iTunes

Help send TV executives a statement!

Download Clay's episode of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader on Apple iTunes for $1.99.

FOX released the episode to iTunes over the weekend. Clay's episode is listed as episode 11 on the "5th Grader" section on iTunes.

The CH's kellykellyk gives us a little more insight on why supporting this episode on iTunes is important:

I know that everyone probably has downloaded it for the vault by now, but I would recommend that those who can afford to do so buy Clay's episode from iTunes. Ratings are supreme when it comes to TV, but online episodes/series downloads and DVD sales also send a message to studio execs about the popularity of a show or the draw of a particular star. If Clay's episode of AYSTAFG gets significantly more downloads than the average episode, that sends a positive message to TV execs and makes Clay a more attractive guest to have on a show. If his show gets fewer downloads than usual (mostly because fans already downloaded it for free from the different vaults), then that still sends a message, but it won't be a positive one.

For those interested in downloading the show from iTunes, it's under TV Shows - Fox - AYSTAFG. Clay's show is episode 11. Be careful, because since Clay and Regis were part of a 2-hour special edition, both episode 11 and episode 12 mention Clay and Regis as special guests, but Clay is episode 11 and Regis is 12. The file is 523 MB, so those on dial-up can't really download it, but I would suggest that anyone who can buy it do so.

Clay Blogs: Looks Like He Got His iPhone!

By the looks of his VERY brief and cryptic blog tonight, our adorably cute and geeky Clay isn't leaving himself out of the Apple iPhone fever that hit its climax earlier tonight when the hot $600 music and video playing phones went on sale at Apple and AT & T stores nationwide.

Clay wasn't the only celebrity spotted hunting down an iPhone today, however. Philadelphia's mayor was spotted lining up outside Philadelphia's Apple store earlier today.

Have fun with your iPhone, Clay!

Update 6/30: Clay blogged again on Friday night... this time from his iPhone! Cool!
