Great Conversation With Three Spamalot Fans About Clay
This interesting conversation with three men, all non-Clay fans, all Spamalot fans, showed up on my home fan site, Aiken Breakin Broads. I don't know where it originated. If anyone does, please let CDD know so we can give credit to that person or site.
This conversation, however, is a great way to show that not only do Clay's own fans love his performance in Spamalot, but non-fans are enjoying it as well!!
Conversation with 3 Spammers. (Three men 30 - 40ish)If anyone else has a non-Clay fan experience such as this, please let us here at Clay's Daily Double know about it. We'd love to include it in our Spamalot news!
After the show I went up to these three men and asked them what they thought? They told me they have been to six Spamalot shows (big Python fans) before and this audience was the best ever! Asked me Who are you people? So I told him about Clay Nation etc. The one man said usually the audience was boring but this was so much fun. I asked if our ...enthusiasm for Clay bothered them? They said NO not at all... They told me,Clay was really good in the play. Explained that we love him and we just can't help ourselves sometimes. But we know the talent and appreciate everyone in the show. (Had a discussion about the other actors)I told them for me personally to see Clay up there with that caliber of actors, holding his own, just makes me so proud and I got a little emotional. They said they had so much fun. At other shows it was rare if they participated at all, they hardly ever stood up or sang, and they were standing and singing.
So this will sum up their conversation and feelings..
THEY ASKED ME??????? WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK HERE ..... WE WANT TO COME AND SEE SPAMALOT AGAIN WITH CLAY NATION! YOU GUYS ARE A RIOT!!
Then they said maybe our wives will come now?? And laughed.. I hugged them goodbye and felt such a warm glow inside.

Spamalot was one of the best and most entertaininig plays I have been to in a long time. We occasionally go to New York to go to a few good restuarants and see a couple of plays. This was just really damn good fun. As much as I like Clay Aiken I was still suprised at how great he was on that stage. The audience was full of the usual variety of people, just like at other shows I've seen.So dont believe those who say it was just your basic claymate audience. I certainly hope some were there because I'm sure they would have loved it.
