Efforts to raise money for the fund were started by Nederlander Concerts, the Greek Theatre’s management, in early August. With the help of celebrities like Tony Bennet, Los Lonely Boys and Clay Aiken, more than $10,000 has already been raised. According to Vanessa Kromer, director of Publicity for Nederlander Concerts, that number should “increase significantly” after the Goo Goo Dolls perform.
With host Jeff Foxworthy in his familiar place at the head of the class, entertainer Regis Philbin (“Live with Regis and Kelly”), on-air personality Billy Bush (“Access Hollywood”), AMERICAN IDOL finalists Clay Aiken and Kellie Pickler, skateboarding icon Tony Hawk and Miss America Lauren Nelson will add to the schoolroom antics as they try to ace the questions and earn money for charity.
Chronicle Herald - David Foster hosting 2007 David Foster Foundation gala this weekend in Calgary ... still no confirmation whether Clay will be there, despite the rumors:
Last November’s charity gala in Niagara Falls raised $3.3 million for the foundation, which raises money to cover the non-medical expenses of families with children in need of organ transplants.
It included Buble, Bocelli, Paul Anka and Babyface. Previous galas featured Josh Groban, Clay Aiken and George Lopez.
