With teach Chicken Soup for the Soul book we publish, we designate a charity to receive a portion of the profits. A portion of the proceeds from Chicken Soup for the Soul Children with Special Needs will be donate to the Bubel/Aiken Foundation. What a great opportunity to get a fantastic book, while at the same time helping out the Bubel/Aiken Foundation. One of the stories featured in the book was written by Kristy Barnes of the TBAF. Her story, titled "The Dance", describes inclusion at work at TBAF summer camps.
The Bubel/Aiken Foundation grew out of the relationship between Clay Aiken and Diane Bubel and Diane's then thirteen-year-old son Mike, who had been diagnosed with autism. Clay met the Bubel family while pursuing a career in special education.
The book was just recently released; you can get your hands on a copy at your local bookstore, or through the internet at merchants such as Amazon.com.
