Contribute to Clay Aiken's UNICEF Christmas 2007 Fundraiser for Mexico

As most of us prepare to welcome family and friends, Clay is getting set to spend Christmas and some of January in hurricane ravaged Mexico. Immediately following his December 22 show in Merrillville, IN, Clay will embark, with his mother Faye Parker, on his 4th UNICEF trip abroad.

Clay is asking for your support in this season of giving as he and UNICEF work to raise $100,000 for the children of Mexico by December 31. Over the past few days, you have responded generously, donating in excess of $15,000 to the Clay Aiken UNICEF fund for Mexico. However, much more is needed for us to reach the $100,000 goal by the end of the year.

More information about this great fundraising project and how YOU can donate is posted at the UNICEF website:

Over the holidays, UNICEF Ambassador Clay Aiken will be visiting UNICEF projects for children affected by Mexico's worst flooding in 50 years.

Help Clay raise $100,000 by December 31 to help the children of Mexico!

Clay will be blogging from the field about the situation in Mexico on Fieldnotes.unicefusa.org. We can tell you now that the destruction in Tabasco was widespread and particularly hard on children:

  • Approximately 70% of the schools were damaged.
  • 100% of the state crops were destroyed.

UNICEF staff working in more than 150 countries around the world are unable to take a vacation from saving kids lives. In a show of solidarity, Clay will forgo his holiday vacation to help support the kids of Mexico. Help make Clay’s vacation a success!
