More Confusion Over Texas, Oklahoma Concerts

We're hearing Clay's July 7 concert set for the Nokia Theatre in Dallas, TX is being canceled and a Tulsa, OK concert is being announced for that same day. Reps at the Nokia Theatre confirm that no Clay concert was ever 100% confirmed and the official fanclub and Ticketmaster "jumped the gun".

We are still awaiting an official statement from Team Clay - however, as a consolation to our Texas fans, the Nokia Theatre says Clay will be at Pizza Hut Stadium in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, TX on the "weekend" of July 4 (note: July 4 is a Wednesday) for their Independence Day celebrations. You can also choose to go to the Houston concert on July 6. Again, details of this concert are to be announced.

To recap:

  • The July 7 Dallas, TX concert previously scheduled for the Nokia Theatre is CANCELED.
  • A concert will occur at the Brady Theater in Tulsa, OK on July 7.
  • Clay is rumored to appear in the week of July 4 at Pizza Hut Stadium in Frisco, TX.
  • Details have not been confirmed for any of these concerts. Ticketing information for Tulsa and Frisco are TBA.

"The show here has cancelled and he is going to perform at Pizza Hut Park for their July 4th Weekend event. We aren’t promoting that show so I don’t have any additional information on it." (info received April 9, 2007 from Nokia theatre).
I also sent an inquiry to Pizza Hut Park about the concert. I will send you their reply once I receive it. PHP is a world class soccer stadium that seats about 20,000 and is located in Frisco, Texas (which is 30 miles North of downtown Dallas and about 40/45 miles from the Nokia venue). I was so looking forward to my 1st (ever) Clay Aiken concert in Dallas. Nokia Theatre is a much smaller and more intimate venue. The Myerson (home of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and venue for many Jazz artists and Holiday shows) would have been an excellent alternative to the Nokia Theatre.

I would like to clear something up. Nokia was NOT cancelled so Clay could come to Tulsa. When one of the ladies in our group called the Brady Theater she was told that the 7th opened up and they "snagged" it.
