Finally, the miracle has happened. After years of ignoring the plaintive cries in store dressing rooms from women over 35, clothing retailers have begun to realize that there is life after belly shirts.

Now that Britney Spears is a married lady, maybe the fashion czars have awakened to the fact that there are a lot of women out there with money to spend who are beyond their teen-vixen phase but not ready to look like Aunt Bee. After all, dressing like an adult doesn't have to mean wearing tweed ``nanny'' suits and high-button blouses. But neither does it mean looking like you have Clay Aiken posters on your bedroom wall.
