Clay Aiken Big Attraction At State Fair Monday

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Clay Aiken continues to be a hot ticket-- even at the North Carolina State Fair.

When tickets went on sale online in September, the show sold out in 9 minutes. When Aiken offered to give a second performance, that show sold out in 14 minutes.

State Fair officials said they never expected the tickets to sell so quickly, but fans know you cannot underestimate Aiken's effect.

Fans gathered at Dorton Arena Sunday to catch a glimpse of the pop star.

The Raleigh native made a special appearance at his buddy Kimberly Locke's concert at Dorton Arena Sunday evening. He did not perform, but sat near the stage and enjoyed the show.

Aiken hits the same stage Monday at 3 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m.
