Terra Networks (TRLY: news, chart, profile) is marking the fifth anniversary of its Lycos Top 50 weekly list of most popular searches, and Britney Spears and Pamela Anderson have been on every list since the start. In 1999, the first list featured Backstreet Boys and Beanie Babies. Five years later, Clay Aiken and Poker dominate Web search activity, according to Dean Tsouvalas, who writes the Weekly Lycos 50 column. Other search terms from the first list which have shown staying power include NFL, WWF and Dragonball.
