AMERICAN IDOLS ON BROADWAY Broadway also continues to be flooded by contestants from that original singing reality show, "American Idol." [...] To top it off, one of the most successful "Idol" finalists, Clay Aiken, is making his Broadway debut in Spamalot beginning in January. Director Mike Nichols calls him "an excellent comic actor and a master of character." Let's hope he's right.
"My memories have always been the mishaps," says Clay Aiken. "I remember driving back from getting the Christmas tree and having to stick it through the open back windows of the car and freezing all the way home. … I think a majority of Americans' Christmas memories are much less 'It's a Wonderful Life' and much more 'National Lampoon.'"
