  American Idol cannot be won in a day – or two days, or with one song. It is a long journey full of twists and turns, potholes and hurdles. Some have held the title in their hands all season long until the last minute (Clay Aiken). Others had it and never lost it (Carrie Underwood). And others still came out of nowhere shocked the world (Kelly Clarkson).

  That got me to thinking about other possible matchups between American Idols and those you’d least expect — like Clay Aiken and Alice Cooper. Or, how about Season 2 winner Rueben Studdard teaming up with Little Jimmy Dickens, the four-foot Grand Ol’ Opry star who made “May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose” a hit? You can take it from there.
