• Springfield State Journal Register highlights the 2006 Indianapolis State Fair. It mentions Clay's 2005 appearance at the fair: "[Carrie] Underwood already has outsold Clay Aiken, the only other "American Idol" contestant to perform at the fair. It's not so much that she won the Fox show's title where Aiken placed second as it's that country fills more Grandstand seats."
• St. Petersburg Times article about a JNT2005 backing vocalist. Small Clay mention.
• Pittsburgh Tribune article about American Idol's current Season 5 tour. Mentions Clay & the season 2 tour:

  Several years ago, she attended a concert at the Mellon Arena that featured finalists from the second season, including Clay Aiken and 2003 winner Ruben Studdard. It gave her a different perspective on the performers.
  
  "That (live format) was just so much more natural for Clay," she says. "He was almost the facilitator, almost like the master of ceremonies. Ruben was talented, but he didn't have that personality."
