Springfield State Journal Register highlights the 2006 Indianapolis State Fair. It mentions Clay's 2005 appearance at the fair: "[Carrie] Underwood already has outsold Clay Aiken, the only other "American Idol" contestant to perform at the fair. It's not so much that she won the Fox show's title where Aiken placed second as it's that country fills more Grandstand seats."
