Tidbits 8/3

  • Canton Daily Ledger - metal music article... random mention:
Few rational music fans could imagine a world where Kelly Clarkson toured with Slayer or Clay Aiken covered The Black Dahlia Murder’s “Funeral Thirst.”
  • Kane County Chronicle - Christmas tour listing: "CLAY AIKEN, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29, Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. Tickets: $68-$83."
  • Playbill - producers bring in new cast for "Idol: The Musical" ahead of official opening -
America didn't get the chance to vote, but the entire cast of Idol: The Musical — based on the fan worship of former "American Idol" contestant Clay Aiken — has gone home. Producers announced Aug. 3 that the entire cast was replaced prior to the show's official opening.
  • The ConCLAYve - cute skit... a Klimmel conversation:
(Clay and Kimmel are talking on their iPhones.)

Clay (firmly): Uh-UH. No excuses. It’s on a Saturday night, so don’t be tellin’ me ya got a show or hafta tape that goofy game show o' yores. NOT.BUYIN.’

Kimmel: Actually, I was going to ask if you had any more VIP tickets you could--

Clay: MORE tickets? (smiling) So yore rilly comin?’
