Tidbits 7/16
- Cape Cod Times Online - writer responds to some negative feedback on her "Idol: The Musical"/Clay article with this article about ice cream... huh?
I had no idea what a hornet's nest I would stir up with my little item two weeks ago about the Clay Aiken musical. I got some e-mails, and there were lots of comments on the Times Web site about how wrong I was about Clay. I've thought a lot about how I can redeem myself to all of you Claymates.
- Some more "Idol: The Musical" mentions:
- New Yorker Magazine - "A new musical about small-town teen-agers who are obsessed with Clay Aiken. Daniel Tursi directs. In previews."
- SF Gate - today's cover story (in the print edition) is a American Idol update... includes some info about the musical -
Also included: Joel Selvin's examination of original "Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson's free-falling career and Tommy Nguyen's overview of a New York stage production that revolves around the worship of Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken.
- YouTube - someone made a montage of clips from ABC's "The Bachelor" to the tunes of Clay singing "Measure of a Man"... cute!

Carolina On My Mind - PA Claymates gearing up for a spectacular night with Clay - "Three more days ... two more sleeps until July 17!" are some of the salutations and headlines resounding in Philadelphia threads throughout Clay Cyberspace. BOD & HEART actually thought the hoopla was for their birthday, but readers surviving the Houston intermission can read how LAP & LACIE set them straight.
Following a week's hiatus, Clay Aiken's Summer Tour 2007 hits the road again with an 8 p.m. concert Tuesday at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
