Tidbits 6/8
- Tour mentions:
- Wall Street Journal - really random Clay mention in this article about baseball & sports in general.
What would you do if Bonds was sitting on 754 or 755 and you had tickets? Go to the game? Sell the tickets? Throw them away?
The question brings to mind for me Jackie Robinson's first game, on April 15, 1947, when 5,000 seats were vacant at Ebbets Field. We can only speculate as to why so many people stayed away that day, but surely some of them were casting a silent vote against integration. I'm not comparing Bonds to Robinson (I'd sooner compare Clay Aiken to Frank Sinatra), but if Bonds sets or breaks the record on the road, I wonder if he'll face empty seats.

- Taking A Moment addresses the tensions at the official fanclub message board with this funny skit:
I see that there's been some kind of razz battle going on over at the OFC message board. First of all, it wasn't me. Second of all, it wasn't me. I've been sitting here, minding my own business, studying my Sunday School lesson, humming KumBahYa and thinking of ways to make this a better world to live in.
Ok, not really. I've been wracking my brain trying to think of a skit using Clay and The Riches.
