Tidbits 6/11

  • Washington Post - kids love Clay Aiken... the Washington Post asked kids at Oak Hill Elementary School who their favorite singers were... and he are the results
Favorite musical performer: What wide-ranging musical tastes this group has. They said they like James Galway, Mozart, Eminem, the Beach Boys, Black-Eyed Peas, All-American Rejects and Clay Aiken.
  • New York Daily News - In article about summer camps, Clay is mentioned as follows:
If you're on a tight budget, don't expect frills like air-conditioned bunks or visits from celebrities like "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken, who kicked off color war at a pricey private summer camp in Pennsylvania.
This is in reference to Camp Timberlake that Clay went to in 2003. You can check it out at Camp Timberlake's website or see a video from Clack Unlimited.
  • Reality TV World - Kelly Clarkson doesn't care if she's a star or not -
The idea of being a role model to other young women makes Clarkson "nervous," however Idol second-season runner-up Clay Aiken says he can't think of anybody better to fill that void.
  • Wall Street Journal - random Clay mention... tennis article.
  • There are a few articles out there declaring it's "civil war" in the Clay nation due to last last week's closing of the fanclub message board. I probably don't need to tell you that this is simply not true because this incident involved the small 1% of the Clay nation. If you want to read some of yellow journalism, I encourage you to find these articles on own... CDD will not link or tolerate gossip sites that do not check their sources half the time and spin the story the other half of the time. The OFC Message Boards are now back up and running.
