TITN Writer wins Award

Songwriter scoops top US award

A SONG by a writer from Cheshire has been named the most performed in America and won him a top industry award.

Chris Braide, from Warrington, wrote the lyrics to Pop Idol winner Will Young's smash hit, Anything is Possible and American Idol runner-up, Clay Aiken's This is the Night. But his award from the American Society of Composers and Publishers is for the song, Invisible, co-written with Desmond Childs for the group, Deeside.

Chris's proud dad, Ken said: "This is like an American Ivor Novello, awarded for the most performed work in America.
