Clay's currently taping tomorrow episode of The Megan Mullally Show. The two last appeared together on Clay's 2004 Christmas special, A Clay Aiken Christmas. We have this quick report from the CB's ncsupack88:
Just talked to Spartus and she said there were probably over 100 now and that will probably be capacity for the show. Tyra's capacity was about 125 and she doesn't see MM show being any larger. They will take the group in about 11:30 and the show will start taping around noon. She said that they were told it would last til 2 or 2:30 and not to expect any reports til after the show b/c they will take phones.Don't forget that this show will air TOMORROW. Please check local listings to see when the show comes on in your area.
Clay Aiken will be making his soap opera debut next month. “People” reports that the former “American Idol” runner-up will perform a song from his new album “A Thousand Different Ways” on the December 22 episode of the NBC soap Opera “Days of Our Lives.” He’s expected to sign at a private concert for Steve and Kayla, and his version of “O, Holy Night” from his 2004 “Merry Christmas with Love,” will also be included in the soap.
The Tyra Banks Show website has a brief preview of Clay on her show, at a yet to be determined date in November.
When you get to the site, click on "Don't Miss November on Tyra" (bottom left of the screen) and a video will start playing. Keep watching it until it shows Clay singing and then sitting and talking to Tyra. The part that is shown is when Tyra asks him if he is allergic to chocolate. Hearing him say "oooOOoo" is worth the whole video!
Hopefully this little bit of video will tide you over until we get to see the whole show!! At least now we definitely know that its sometime in November!

The Salamandars are at it again!! They do they most wonderful, craziest stories about Clay with great computer graphics. The newest version is just in time for Halloween...Clay's Halloween 2006! Be afraid...be very afraid of some of the Halloween costumes they have Clay decked out in!! But while this may be frightening, you will have a frightfully good time and laugh yourself silly!
So go through creaking doors. Make your way through hanging spider webs. And definitely watch out for Claykenstein as you head to the Salamandar's Halloween website to enjoy Clay's Halloween 2006!

We all know very well by now that Clay is going to appear as a guest on the daytime soap opera, Days of Our Lives. We know he will sing Everything I Have and that his version of O Holy Night will also be featured on the show. But NBC Universal Media Village has now given us a little more information about the plot for that show in an article called CLAY AIKEN SPICES UP THE HOLIDAYS ON NBC'S POPULAR DAYTIME DRAMA 'DAYS OF OUR LIVES'. In this special holiday episode, Aiken gives a private concert at Salem's local club Dune for Patch (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) after the couple offer to volunteer to help Aiken catch a ride to the airport when his car gets stranded.Hmmm, what I want to know is where was Jerome when Clay's car got stranded? I didn't think they ever left him alone to travel! Or did this happen when he took a week to travel around the country a couple of months ago...and his car just happened to conk out right at Patch and Kayla's doorstep!! Good for us that it did!! :)

Clay is releasing a mini-CD (they are actually called EPs) just in time for the holidays. All is Well will be released on November 28 and will include five tracks - "All is Well," "Christmas Waltz," "My Grown Up Christmas List," and "O Come O Come Emmanuel." But there is an interesting little twist here. It would appear that this CD is only available from Wal-Mart!
Brookstone's new Christmas CD, Ultimate Christmas will include Clay's beautiful song, Don't Save It All For Christmas, from his platinum selling Christmas CD, Merry Christmas With Love. Ultimate Christmas is up at Brookstone's website at a cost of $17.00.
The CD includes many favorite Christmas songs, such as Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby & David Bowie, Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley, Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano, and Little Saint Nick by The Beach Boys. Clay song is the last song on the CD, which to me is saving the best for last! Also, Clay's name is one of the few included on the front cover of the CD.
What an honor to be included with some of the great songs of Christmases past. Clay's songs are classic bound, if not already classics!

Clay's interview with the TV Guide Channel (finally) aired last night in what was dubbed "TV Guide - Clay Aiken Closeup". Taped at Planet Hollywood in NYC, Clay talked about a wide range of topics and said that "everything on [ATDW] is really me."

Totally unexpected Clay sighting in the NY Times. I get parts of the Sunday paper on Saturday. Here I am going through the Arts and Leisure section when my eyes immediately lock onto a picture of Clay. I do a double take...yup...CLAY!!! It's an article on E!'s show The Soup and the host. But who do they put in the pic with Joel McHale but Clay!! Hee!!!! The article doesn't mention Clay but does mention Tyra being mad at the Soup Host for poking fun at her.
The pic is big although not the new hair. The article is half a page and the picture is one fourth of that.
Menconi invited reader invective with his less-than-admiring review of Clay Aiken's latest album. Said one reader: "People like you obviously have a hidden animosity, and you were the people who picked on him when he was a little kid." That's what happens when you take on artists with devoted fan bases who are looking not for criticism so much as affirmation.

If you are NOT in the required altered state of being in, or longing for, love, A Thousand Different Ways probably won't work for you. But for those who aren't afraid of sentiment, these are smooth, lovely offerings, sung with passion and integrity and produced with loving care. Leave your hip-hop attitude at the door, and enjoy the sentimental stylings of a talented musical interpreter.
Fans of this CD will also enjoy the original versions of the songs Aiken covers, especially ones by Celine Dion and Elton John, as well as Aiken's previous album, Measure of a Man.
On Thursday, November 2, Clay makes the first of his many long awaited November television appearances. Clay will be on The Megan Mullally Show, and her site already has him listed as one of Thursday's guests. The site informs us that, "...former American Idol contestant, Clay Aiken performs "A Thousand Days," from his new CD - and then does a duet with Megan!" Well, we know how awesome "A Thousand Days" is, but this duet should be interesting!
To see when and where to watch in your area, click on "Where To Watch" at Megan's site and select your state. All cities in that state will come up plus the time it is shown there.

The Official Clay Aiken Fanclub has confirmed the upcoming Christmas EP Clay will be releasing. Set for a November 28 release, All Is Well will include 3 of your favourite Clay Christmas classics (we heard them on last year's JNT) and the title track called "All Is Well".
Don't forget, All Is Well will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart. It is now available for pre-order at WalMart.com for a mere $4.84. Let's stock up on this fantastic stocking stuffer!
No word yet on whether Wal-Mart Canada plans on carrying this CD.
Update: Yes... we've received complaints about us posting AIW's cover and tracklisting. I understand that this is meant to be "fanclub" only, but please hear me out on this before you spam us with hate mail. How about Clay's younger fans who don't have fanclub membership, or our international fans who simply can't get fanclub membership?? Whatever happened to 'inclusion'??? Until Clique allows anyone, from any part of the world, to subscribe to the fanclub, I think restricting this kind of important news to those who are in a specific geographic area is totally absurd.
So, we've removed the cover for the time being. When the cover and tracklisting are officially released, we'll let you know. In the interim - for those of without fanclub membership, Southern Girl has posted more info on her blog. (hint... hint) (I hope posting a link to this isn't against fanclub 'rules').
PS. I'm keeping the tiny album cover at the top of this page... I'm sure Clay doesn't mind a little free advertisement.

Is this Clay's big breakaway from the grip of RCA Records and Sony BMG? We told you yesterday about the exclusive Wal-Mart Clay Aiken album scheduled for release on November 28. This is clear from the product number of the new EP, called "All Is Well". The UPC code is a non Sony BMG/non RCA number: 0088697026992.
All Sony BMG releases are prefixed with the number 82876.
Hmm.... interesting.

"Claymates will get a special Christmas present this year: Clay Aiken will be appearing on the NBC daytime drama Days of our Lives as himself, PEOPLE has learned exclusively". People also says that he will sing two songs, "Everything I Have" and "Oh Holy Night" for a private concert for Steve and Kayla.

We've mentioned the donation of CD's for our overseas troops in several issues of CDD. And we've got great news to share with all of you. Easterseal from The Clayboard CD/Troop thread has finally delivered all of our CD's, which ended up totaling 2154, to Lt. Col. Branlish and his staff who will make certain they get to the appropriate people to have them sent to our troops. Easterseal tells us her story at The Clayboard thread. Below is part of what she said (you can read the rest of it at The Clayboard):
Now the goal, what a wonderful experience, Terry, Lisa(mom4Clay22) and myself met some of America's finest representatives today. Not the soldiers from battle, but the people who make sure they and their families are never forgotten. Lt Col. Branlish, his assistant, Lt. Lisa Boden and Susan a civilian family service worker were the most wonderful people I have dealt with in a long time. First of all we loaded the boxes on carts, took them to there special storage area (they cleaned a spot for us HEH HEH), then we all gathered around the table and talked about the project, each other, our young men and women. Lisa from Columbus and his assist. also Lisa were from the same area and compared notes shopping. We made small talk while waiting for the Lt.Col. who was unfortunately doing some bereavement counseling. When he joined us, he asked when I thought of it and why, he was simply overwhelmed by the generosity of people to send and spend so much money for our young men and women, I told him it was a privilege. He explained how the CD's would be handled, their family service group and volunteers will meet soon and get started on the care packages and he will also call all the other branches and let them know that the CD's are available for them to come and get and send to their respective units.What a great experience that must have been for all who were there. No doubt all who were involved in collecting the CD's and sending them to Easterseal must and should feel good about being a part of this. I assume the pictures that were taken will be on the above Clayboard thread for all to see, so stop by the thread later and check it out.
He said they may even have to hock one or two for themselves. Also Lisa (claymate lisa) brought another 37 Cd's she had collected, making our total 2154. Then the Lt. Col. and his staff presented me with a beautiful throw with the Family Services and National Guard Armory in black and their insignia in the middle and they presented Terry and Lisa with a bouquet of flowers!! We took pictures, I have some from the loaded car and outside of Armory and Lisa took some inside, she is going to do most of the uploading of the pictures, since I am not very literate with that.
