A radio station in malaysia mentioned "Clay Aiken turns 29 today"... that came as a surprise coz this station occasionally plays 'the way' but I've never heard ATD. Heard WY once and I remember the deejay saying: 'that was Clay Aiken, r-u on AI2 but very successful. What happend to ruben studdard?' Nothing intended towards ruben, just relaying what the deejay said.
Another station always plays ATD, sometimes Invisible, but the best part is that his songs are accompanied with great comments!!! Things like.... 'you don't have to win to be an international star'.... 'a great singer who made it big in his own right'... etc.... you get the drift.
'American Idol'' contender Clay Aiken, rootsy country singer Suzy Bogguss, smooth jazz stars Peter White, Allentown native Rick Braun and Mindi Abair, and veteran doo-wop act the Cornell Gunter Coasters are among those returning to spread seasonal cheer.

Well, well, well Mr. Aiken. Today's your 29th birthday. I know that seems old to you, but trust me sweetie...I've got underwear older than that (I know,I know.... just a little too much info there *g*).
You've matured into a handsome, sophisticated young man who has traveled the world, for business, for pleasure, and as an advocate for children's causes. That is one thing that hasn't changed about you as you head towards the "Big 30".... your commitment to helping others and inclusion for all.
With such diversity to choose from, I tried to pick a cross-section. I had 10 readers’ submissions selected to ask Clay, but when he gave such heart-felt and thoughtful answers (you’ll see with the first one), we just ran out of time and could only to get three of your questions. And about Clay:
Still, Clay was very giving with his time. I was similarly very appreciative of his generosity, thoughtfully answering both my questions for the upcoming Poughkeepsie Journal story and your questions.Check out the rest of the article to see whose fan questions Sean chose to ask Clay. And Sean will be preparing his article about Clay's interview to be published around December 10. Thanks to Sean for a great article and for allowing the fans to take part in his interview with Clay!

The "Christmas in the Heartland" tour so far has been tons of fun and a tremendous success! Thank you to all the fans who attended and to those of you that will be coming to future shows. The hats and scarves are selling so well that we will have to order more to keep up with the demand! And since these cozy items are such great sellers, stay tuned to the news for updates on new sets that will be exclusively available in the Clay Aiken Official Store.
"I've always tried to remember that people are looking at what I say and do to find out what's valuable and important to me, and I've always tried to set the right example. But that day I realized that I can't know all the ways my actions may impact someone. I couldn't have imagined that video would have affected anyone in any kind of positive way, but, lo and behold, it had."You can buy Chicken Soup For The American Idol Soul at your local bookstore or at www.amazon.com. And if you buy it at amazon.com, be sure to read the customer reviews. Everyone who left a review loved the book, even those who were skeptical. Sounds like a great item to include on your Christmas list to Santa!
Even more impressive than Clay's achievements in the music industry is his tireless dedication to the causes that are near and dear to his heart. He created the Bubel/Aiken Foundation in 2003, accepted a UNICEF ambassadorship in 2005, and, in 2007, he was appointed by George W. Bush to a committee that acts in an advisory capacity to the President and the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. The committee acts on matters pertaining to programs and services for persons with intellectual disabilities. Clay's reason for creating the Bubel/Aiken foundation was a personal one, as he worked with Diane Bubel's son, Michael, who has autism. The foundation helps to integrate children with disabilities into the same environment as their non-disabled peers. As he states on his Myspace page, "You know, my mother has always been someone who urged me to help people in need. Maybe thats it. I dont think its something you can learn. Its just something you do."Check out the rest of this article for yourself. Some really great things are said about Clay and there are three pictures showing his "transformation" from AI tryouts to AI Season 5 Finale!
